I scouted out my spot and have chosen the first overpass about a half mile beyond the truck stop where they’re all gathering. There were 65 18-wheelers in the truck stop today and it was only about 1/5 full. My backup plan if the overpass is already full is to either head to the next overpass or stand in the broad grassy/snowy swale between the 4 lanes of the highway. I’ve forsaken clever and pithy for a simple but sincere “THANK YOU!” on my computer-generated sign. I may be standing alone but I’ll be wearing a red coat and pink rain boots with lights that flash when I stomp. They won’t be able to miss me.
