It should go without saying that, Constitutionally, the legislative branch has no authority to establish or operate an enforcement organ of policy, a police force. The Capitol Police became 'riot police' on January 6 last year; Ms. Pelosi declined Prez Trump's offer of National Guard troop protection, obviously in anticipation of the false flag riot that ensued.
Where did federal prisoners end up? In federal prison? NO! they ended up in a city jail, beyond the jurisdiction of federal judges, under the abuse of citizen hating jailers where they were held in solitary confinement without criminal charges, without court dates, without bail, without visitation rights, with the barest legal representation. Since most detainees expected to possess their human rights, many descended into depression and accession to authority.
Those protesters killed in the 'riot' were left unrecognized. For example, the officer that shot Ashley Babbitt was not even identified, let alone subjected to public hearings. No other police force in the country could kill an unarmed civilian (woman!) and face no repercussions, no scrutiny, nothing... A Secret Police!
