My own theory is that Trump knew all about Barr's work with Casey on the Mena operation. He offered Barr a chance for a presidential pardon if Barr did certain things for him. That would make Barr a Leveraged Hat rather than a Black Hat.

I hope you are right; or, that Barr convinced Trump he is part of a White Hat faction within I.C. ("Sorry about all those hundreds of tons of cocaine.")

Unfortunately, many of Barr's actions do not bear out a positive reading---EXCEPT, he did declare Trump "Not Guilty" after the weaselly Mueller report. So there's that.

I make elderberry syrup from dried berries I buy At Starwest Botanicals, available other places.

If my computer allows, I’ll post recipe on Nat Health thread and put link here. i have 2 qts handy at present, need to take daily as preventive during flu season. did not know it was good for covid, duh. Good antiviral and also prevents, 1 spoon a day. No seeds, tastes good. Easy to make.
