I grew up in Danville.
I drove past this accident on Friday and saw the scene. There were boxes with the monkeys on the road. 4 did escape, but temperatures that night dropped to around 5 degrees F.
The monkeys were euthanized because handling them would be very dangerous.
It is a matter if they interacted with other species.
But this is real and witnessed by a FReeper.
So out of 100 monkeys, 4 escaped? Where they ever found? And how many were actually euthanized? 100...or 4...or 96? Lots of holes in this story that we should know the facts about, FFS!
