I have tried to listen to music from today, and there ste very, very few songs that I actually liked.
Most of the time, anything that’s made after about 1989 just pretty much sucks. But, then again, it’s just my opinion.

Absolutely. My theory is that people like the music they heard when they were kids. For me, it’s the 60s and 70s.

“But, then again, it’s just my opinion.”

And you just posted the real reason people are having trouble with today’s music. People do not listen to what they know is entertaining, they listen to what they are told to. Few have an opinion.

The music field is diminishing just like every field. And it is getting worse. It started in the 1950’s and has gone down hill from there. Give it time, it will all sound alike and you will be expected to love it. It’s all part of the indoctrination.

^^^THIS!!!^^^

And, I'll stretch the time back to the 50's R&R..
Rock and Roll died in the 60s.
After that, it was just Rock (almost extinct now).
