“I had Jensen speakers in my 1975 GMC pickup”

Your story brings back such great memeories. I was a teen/young adult in the late 70’s. Such a great time.

Everyone in my area had 4x4’s, with rollbars and front grill guards and Cibie or KC lights.

One time my friend got pulled over by the sherriff and we all had beers on us and cooler in the back of the truck. The cop made us spill out our beers and he took the cooler with beers.lol We were mad then but laugh about it today at the reunions.

Today we would have been in jail with dui’s.

My best friend had a 1975 K5 Blazer. He realized we could take the top off of it. It just unscrewed. Boom, we had a 4WD convertible. We took the doors off too. Great in the summer. Except, when it rained.

My last year of college at Syracuse one of my housemates had a piece of crap car. Some little two door compact car. I think it was a Chevet. He had a job lined up after school, so this car was going to the junk yard in a couple weeks after graduation.

We bought cut off saw blades for his Skil saw and cut the roof off. The car was silver so we duck taped the rough cut metal so you would not cut yourself on the sharp edges. The problem was, if you opened the doors, the frame would sag. SO, we screwed the doors shut. You had to jump/climb in and out of it. We had a convertible to cruise around in for a couple of weeks. When he took it to the junk yard we threw the roof in the back seat.

Yeah man, the good old days. Same thing happened to me and my buddies except the cop gave us 2 choices, either get booked for possession underage or feed it to the gutter. We chose the latter.
