Their high end equipment (office photocopier size) are better mechanically, but they would not update drivers. We bought their $15,000(?, memory fails) machine in the early 2000s and they would not support Windows-XP 64 bit when it came out. This was a publishing house, we used that kind of stuff! The printer was not supposed to be disposable!

Canon DID make great laser engines back in the day. They powered HP's original LaserJet, LaserJet + and LaserJet II, as well as Apple's LaserWriter.
