The nation was sent into a tailspin over a virus with a 99% survival rate. We have yet to recover, and possibly won't for many years as the various dictators tighten their stranglehold on the American people.

You forgot what happened in New York City. Lombardy, Italy (and Wuhan, China). So we should had taken a timeout like we did with "15 days to slow the spread". Then take the blow all at once but mitigate a little bit by telling the elderly to wear masks and stay at home.

Good points. This was the first such pandemic in a hundred years. We didn’t know what we were facing or how to deal with it. Mistakes were made, but they would have been worse with any other president.
