A British man who took four people hostage at a synagogue in Texas had been investigated by MI5.
Malik Faisal Akram, from Blackburn in Lancashire, was the subject of an investigation in late 2020 but by the time he flew to the US he was assessed to be no longer a risk.
The four people held hostage at the synagogue in Colleyville near Dallas were eventually freed unharmed, after a 10-hour siege.
Akram, 44, was shot dead by police.
He had been on the British security service's watchlist as a "subject of interest" in 2020 and was investigated in the second half of that year.
But by 2021 Akram, who had a criminal record in the UK, had moved from the active list to the former subject of interest list and was no longer considered a threat.
Two teenagers remain in custody after being arrested in England as part of the investigation into what US President Joe Biden described as "an act of terror", but their ages and genders have not been released.

Kyle Rittenhouse shoots three white guys, killing two, and is immediately branded “the face of white supremacy”, but a radicalised Muslim takes hostages at a synagogue and “police are struggling to find a motive”.
RIP M15.
He was shot dead AFTER the hostages, ON THEIR OWN, escaped. Only then did the FBI team enter and kill the hostage taker.
DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES!
“the hostages were eventually freed unharmed...”
By tomorrow Joe Biden will be telling how he burst in and threw a chair at the jihadi so the rabbi and others could escape.
HOW was he allowed on a plane???
I'm surprised they didn't give him an in flight tour of the cockpit.
My exact first thought: “Leave no witnesses!”
Well..., he must have been vaccinated, so all was good!
The FBI tried to sell this guy as a “Homeless” person, but the story fell apart when it was noted that he entered the country illegally on January 2nd. The FBI has lost so much credibility..
He showed them his illegal alien card with proof of non-vaccination. They ushered him in to 1st Class.
He was “thought to have” arrived by plane in NY. It would be pretty easy to establish this for certain, but for some reason the authorities are being vague.
Another related question is why arrive in NY but travel to a southern border state to commit your act of terrorism.
A Muslims extremist...
Fixed.
Something is very wrong here.
Then fix it!
Here’s (another) unanswered question:
Why was the FBI hostage rescue team dispatched from Quantico to deal with the situation in Texas. Number of suspects and hostages was relatively small; normal law enforcement protocol is that local SWAT teams will handle that type of incident, with federal back-up as necessary.
Instead, the FBI deploys their tier-one counter-terrorism unit to Texas on a Saturday. From what I understand, HRT can deploy on four hours notice; flight from northern Virginia to DFW area is another three-four hours. Based on that timeline, it suggests the feds took charge of the incident very early and planned to take the guy out as soon as HRT could arrive on scene.
Apparently, their was a terrorism “spill” on aisle three, and the feds had to cover up some inconvenient truths rather quickly. Another possibility: since the suspect was well known to MI5, it’s possible he was being tracked on his travels to the US (conveniently left off no-fly list, despite long history of criminal activity and terrorist affiliations). Once in the states, the feds (and Brits) were hoping he would lead them to bigger fish; instead, he disappeared, then surfaced at the synagogue in Texas.
Also understand the FBI crime scene response team is in charge of gathering all evidence from the synagouge. Good bet that lots of it will never see the light of day again.
I suspect the State Dept has an open door policy for Muslims since they vote democrap.
Professional courtesy. The FBI must be running short of mission-ready zombies for strategic tension operations, so MI5 gave/loaned them one.
Hands across the sea.
I have two questions about this, none of which I have been able to find answers to.
1. How did he pay for the flight?
2. Where did he get the gun?
