I was introduced to the M114 in February 1968. I was a clerk typist when I threw my duffle bag off the Deuce-and-a-half at a firebase in the highlands for what turned out to be a permanent change of MOS. From that day and for the next 12 years I was Redleg. I spent a lot of time at Fort Sill during those years.
