Knowing Barry's Indonesian roots, Stanley Ann easily befriended an Indonesian national, Lolo Soetoro, who had as his mission to return to Indonesia soon after he would graduate from the University of Hawaii. Dunham did as well, and both were under the CIA employment program there for their respective work as assassin and budding anthropologist.
Stanley Ann would make sure Barry would have a chance to speak his native tongue and see relatives there. Dunham saw to hiring an Indonesian transvestite named Turdi to be Barry's instructor/nanny.
