Yes the catastrophic Biden Press Conference certainly pushed this course of action along. But, the question was already laid on the table.

Here's a thread post from the forum. In the USSR when they had shortages, Moscow was one of the few places which collected the bulk of all resources. I'm puzzled to hear that D.C. has not planned their shortages this way too.

If you're hitting the grocery store to prepare for winter weather, please just buy what you need and leave some for others!

You may have noticed empty shelves in some stores due to national supply chain issues, but there is no need to buy more than you normally would.
