Pardon me for intruding but in the interest of unity ( see my tag line) I’d just like to say, as a happy Catholic, that there are those in the Church who wade too far out into mysticism and ritual. Since Catholic means Universal, early Church leaders decided to let cultural traditions be incorporated into practices, as long as they don’t conflict with Church teaching. Peter’s decision to let gentile converts remain uncircumcised is the first example of that.
The Church in Haiti’s worship can look quite different from those in Ireland, Boston, or the Congo. But the dogma, and elements of the Mass, stay the same.
This has led to problems in certain places, congregations, and people when they lose focus on Christ and begin to relish the ritual, scrupulosity, or mysticism too much. Self flaeggelation was a good example.
But we also know that God gives different spiritual gifts to different people and some mystics can sound quite mad at times. St. Francis was thought to be unhinged in his town. The book of Revelations is another example.
We also know Catholics, like any religion, can go astray. See the history of heresies for that. The Church has had to correct its course many times.
All this is to say that we don’t know what is going on with Flynn. After all that has happened to him, and all that he’s seen, he may have changed or been affected or altered. If Q is being truthful, the Truth will cause many to lose their minds. Imagine living with that Truth every day, alone.
I agree, as a Catholic, that his prayer was odd. Maybe he lost his place and was winging it? Maybe he was sending a message to someone? Maybe he had a vision? Maybe the devil has attacked him? Maybe he’s lost his way...good seed smothered by weeds. We don’t know yet. We watch and wait.
IMHO, Flynn and Q team, and anyone fighting to help God’s Plan, TtT and our country deserve compassion and the benefit of the doubt, until we have FACTS that prove otherwise. This includes Sessions, Wood, Posobiec, Pompeo, Barr, Hannity, etc. As you know, I am not a trusting soul.
We do as Q said, we research for facts and truth. We educate others. We wait for the signal. We watch carefully. We stay at the ready. We pray. We ferret out those who are really evil... Then we will crush them into dust. Happily.
I am watching Flynn. His prayer was odd. I need more facts. My stick is sharpened and ready.
Apologies for the length. I am so grateful for you, this thread, and all the patriots here. I don’t want to lose anyone in this battle.
Several years ago we attended mass at the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Montreal. The mass was in French. I could follow along except for the homily.
When we walked out afterwards, I commented to my wife — that was no different than home. I couldn’t understand a thing he said— especially the homily
Recently in Florida, we attended a mass and the priest was an “edge of your seat” speaker in for a retreat at the parish . He commented while a seminarian, they were given the option to supplement their studies by voluntarily taking some public speaking training —from all places —a Baptist seminary.
In my opinion, the lack of decent homilies due to the lack of public speaking skills is a problem. We don’t go to mass to be entertained, but it would be nice if we could hear a decent homily more than once in awhile
P.S. and I think you are quite right to call our attention to Flynn’s troubling prayer.
I enjoyed your post regarding Flynn. Fact is we don’t know other’s hearts or their role in destroying the cabal. While I won’t join in the particular prayer by Flynn, I don’t know his motivation.
This whole movie has me confused a great deal of the time. Barr and Pence really disappointed me but again I don’t know their motivation or role. The only thing I do know is God is in control and can restore America if we as a nation turn to Him.
