I am not aware that such a 'term' (as Chief Justice) has ever been specified. It is worthy of a good test... and it might remind the justices that they are not 'supreme', that they also answer to the separation of powers.

A Bernie supporter produced this but illustrates that waking up to the Covid plandemic is encompassing all political beliefs. Now 0922. Looking out the window toward Frederick Sound. Rising tide (Low was at 0526. High at 1122). The water is about 30 feet below and 100 feet distant from the window. No sign of any unusual wave action this morning. The warning is for snow melt.
I thought being a Supreme Court Justice was for life. (Unless the Justice voluntarily retires, of course).
Replacement is a splendid idea, though. Maybe those uncharted waters will be charted in the not-too-distant future.
