General Question -

Can anyone site Covid breakthrough cases with un-vaccinated people with natural immunity from prior infection?

“You probably know 3 unvaxed people”

Just to follow up, I think they all had the Original version then came down with the Delta, which is the one I ended up getting. From what I’ve seen once you get one of the early versions the Delta is mild and the Omicron is just a sore throat if you get it.
I’m not vaxxed and very few of my close friends are vaxxed, and it is more than three.

My wife and I had documented cases Dec 2020. Last year she got 3 jabs, boosted in Nov. I decided to trust my natural immunity (and not risk damaging it).

Last week we both tested positive. Both had VERY mild symptoms.

If the virus is different enough even those with natural immunity can be infected. But, there will be enough components familiar to the immune system that it will be able to knock it down before serious symptoms present themselves.

I am just finishing my second round of Covid. The first was July of 2020. I was vaccinated (2 Moderna shots) due to work requiring it. I caught my second round of Covid over New Years. I was tested both times I had Covid.

Natural immunity from the original covid is not going to cover you completely from getting Omicron. Accept it.

Sounds like vaxxed immunity didn't cover you either.

From the CDC website:

"Cases of reinfection with COVID-19 have been reported, but remain rare."

I had the first version back in Jan 2020. Coughed for a couple weeks.

I got another round a few weeks ago. Runny nose and felt off for a day.

No frankenshots whatsoever.

What about all the numerous people on this thread who claimed to have covid twice? There are two other threads on FR today and many people have said they have covid more than once and all or nearly all are unvaxxed.

I know 3 from my circle of friends. All of them unvaxxed.

One a tennis instructor and the other a couple.

The tennis instructor had the original Wuhan virus on April 2020. Over a year later On October 2021, he was reinfected by his girlfriend who went on a bridal shower party. In the second instance, his symptoms were milder than the first but still noticeable plus, he tested positive. October 2021 was of course when the Delta variant was circulating.

The other friend is a Nurse who got her Covid in about October 2020. Her husband also got it at about the same time. They both went on the Zelenko Protocol and recovered within a few days.

This January 2022, the nurse got infected again with a slight fever and cough. She had a home test kit that tested positive. Again went through the Zelenko protocol and got better in three days. Her husband is now feeling symptoms as well. I suspect it is Omicron in 2022 because the symptoms are consistent with description of Omicron.

Natural Immunity wanes with time and because SARS-COVD-2 mutates, there’s no guarantee that just because you’ve had Covid before, you won’t get it again even if you have acquired natural antibodies due to previous infections.

I think this will be similar to getting the flu or cold. Just because you’ve had them doesn’t mean you won’t get them again.

It is a well-known scientific fact that immunity gained from surviving a disease is superior to that gained by a vaccine, both in terms of longevity and protective quality. I had the original COVID with no symptoms. I have been around omicron daily to no ill effect and continually negative tests.

I am unjabbed (see tag). I depend on daily prophylaxis to ward off the CCP virus and all of it's variants.

Ivermectin, HCQ, Vits D3 and C, NAQ, Quercetin and others are keeping me on the straight and narrow.

Ivermectin can be problematic due to the FDA/USPS working to keep this medicine, which is used all over the world, out of the hands of US citizens (see articles here, here and here). Fortunately is is available from Tractor Supply and other farm stores as horse paste. I have been taking this since early last Fall once a week with no problems. Don't buy this at Amazon, their prices are ridiculous but didn't used to be.

You can trust anonymous anecdotes on the internet, or you can trust data gathered by health professionals. The choice is yours.

Yes you can get it again, twice or even more and Cleveland Clinic is seeing high numbers of reinfections especially among the unvaxxed

Why do I trust the anecdotal reports here more than any alphabet health agency….

I never said that getting covid multiple times was impossible. The words I used were “unlikely” and “rare.”

Yep, I can. I personally know several people who were infected by Omicron after previously being infected with and recovering from the original Covid-19 virus. Two of them were within the past 10 days.

Omicron is getting by everything: natural immunity, natural immunity + vaccination, vaccination alone.

I have natural immunity from the original Covid-19 from early 2020, and was vaccinated with the J&J shot in April of '21. I see a specialist for a genetic condition I have, and my immunity has been tracked for the past almost 8 months now. As of six weeks ago, I still have natural immunity. I get re-tested for the antibodies next week and can post an update then.

I can also add this:

The day after Christmas, GF, two friends and I went to see a play. Three days later, GF and our two friends came down with, and tested positive for Omicron. I felt fine but tested anyway and tested negative.

GF was vaxxed, double vaxxed and triple-vaxxed. Our friends had Covid in late 2020 and were vaccinated in April of 2021.

Separately I have several friends who refused the "vaccines" and relied on natural immunity only. They all got Omicron.

Each and every one reported a moderate "head-cold" like illness, independent of vaccines and/or natural immunity.

Omicron doesn't seem serious, it is however highly contagious and blows by everything. It doesn't care if you have natural immunity, vaccinated or both. I still don/t know how I haven't caught it yet as the overwhelming majority of people I know already have and I've probably been exposed four or five times now.

Could it have been a false positive, one of those times?

I believe it was actually Dr Robert Malone who made this statement on the Joe Rogan Podcast. He stated that IF you had the original Whuhan covid and recovered you could not get the Delta variant, but you could get the Omicron because it was enough difference.

Malone corrected McCullough’s original statement that IF you recovered from Covid-19 you could NOT get it again. This was incorrect for the above mentioned reason.

I have natural immunity and have been exposed to omicron and not caught it again. I had the original variant in Oct20 and still tested positive for antibodies last December.

I have heard of two cases in my area of people who caught covid twice, but they had been vaccinated after having had another strain.
