“Too much ‘pate,’”
Our cats will only eat the pate’ style.
“A can of tuna in the people aisle isn’t cheap but at least you know it’s 100 percent cat food”
That’s good for a change once in a while, but cats need taurine for their eyesight which is added to cat foot.

Amazing what I learn here at FR. Often from looking up stuff. Just did that and it turns out tuna is loaded with taurine. :)
Now I look up cat dental health.
Actually no I have to shop for my seniors now.
But I go wiser than I was. I would never have imagined any fanged carnivore would insist on pate! Ick!

You do know that tuna is an excellent source of taurine, right, though you are totally right in that tuna is not a good substitute for cat foot. It’s too high in protein and lacks a bunch of other nutrients cat’s need.
