After what Photobucket did to it’s users (holding photo’s hostage) I never again allowed that to happen.
I bought my own web space from Hostgator. I dump my photos there, and they are under my control. I also have my own URL. So for $100/year plus $20 or so for the URL name I do my own third party hosting.

Well done... I did the same over ten years ago. Got unlimited premium for the same price. I can add as many subdomain sites as I like, such as file sharing/storage sites and have my own secure email server to boot.
I kept getting “If you don’t like it go make your own”. So I did... lol :)

That’s a permanent fix...until Hostgator goes belly up, changes direction, or gets acquired and the buyer says “that image hosting doesn’t align with our strategy.”
It seems the only thing somewhat permanent on the web is FR.

I use these guys..60 bucks a year for hosting and 10 bux a year for your domain name. Been with them 10 years now...prompt support. my .02
