I’m sorry to hear that, but those who got the vaccine were about 20X less likely to wind up in the hospital. Of course, that same Pfizer study showed 99.1% of those without the vaccine also did not get COVID-19.
As to 2022 versions of COVID-19, it would appear Omicron is racing through vaccinated populations, but that they are still getting more mild infections, on average, than those of us not vaxxed.
My wife and I both recently got COVID-19. I got over it in two days, and had a before and after COVID-19 test both showing I was negative (not PCR tests). My wife had it for over 14 days, and, thankfully now, is doing quite well.
