This epic struggle involves three cats and one Vitamix box, according to Nikii and Jessica Gerson-Neeves of Victoria, British Columbia.
The cats — named Max, “George, Destroyer of Worlds” and Lando Calrissian — each want the box for themselves and are defying anyone who tries to to open it. A cold war is ongoing in the couple’s kitchen, with the cats keeping the box under 24-hour guard. This includes staring at it, pacing round it, sitting on top of it and threatening to fight each other over it.
Meanwhile, the Vitamix blender is still trapped inside, Jessica Gerson-Neeves wrote in a plea for help on the Vitamix Facebook page.
The post, which has gotten 13,000 reactions and comments, included photos proving the defiant cats were clearly in control of both the box and the Gerson-Neeves household.

My cats mind when I tell them to leave a room or to stop doing something.
Mine don't.

“Faster than a broom-swatted cat...”
Lando Calrissian—sounds Armenian.
Not a Star Wars fan?
Laws amighty...people ruled by their pets! They do not deserve a blender, much less a Vitamix. Just take the damn thing.
SURELY, this is tongue and cheek...right?
I never went that far, though when my best cat was a kitten he jumped up on the kitchen counter and started lapping up the milk in my bowl of Rice Chex. He took a short flight, but landed on all fours and never tried that again. I don’t kick cats though, it’s like Superman’s Code Against Killing.
You sound like you’re a regular barrel of laughs. They’re CATS, not some enemy to be conquered.
That at least makes sense, unlike this story and some of the comments.
My son and DIL have two cats that are infatuated with boxes to the point they don’t play with cat toys.
These folks must be in on cloud nine with all the affirmation of their dysfunction they are receiving.

The hyphenated name is a clue.
Lol on several levels!
The wife and I have seven of them. Five were rescued from shelters and two showed up on the back porch as kittens sleeping in one of my wife’s big flower pots.
They love hiding in boxes or in this little space between our furnace and water heater.
I think they just like the ability to find some little place they can hide.
