Looks to me like the whole article is a crock. Nobody “captured” anything. All they have is phony-looking artist’s rendering of what he thought a supernova might look like as he toked on his roach. Is THAT the best science can do these days?
Well, if it was Chinese Physicists, the list would be shorter....................

I saw something just about like that in Vietnam when one of our helicopters crashed on an LZ. 4 Grunts burned up.

It’s frustrating that the image and “video” in the story are both “artist renderings”.
Why not release an image of what they claim they have imaged?
