I also bought some woodworm, dry leaves and also the tincture because I had read where it is thought to be a natural alternative to ivermectin (should ivermectin becomes unavailable or harder to procure).
So I got a mason jar, filled it halfway with the leaves, and then added vodka to almost the top. Sealed and tucked away from sunlight for 6 weeks. Tomorrow it will be ready for me to strain and then voila ~ tincture! My 1st attempt at making tincture...I’m so excited : )
When Mountain Rose Herbs mails your order, they include this amazing (free) booklet that is such a simplified, easy to read format, little pocket-sized booklet about the different kinds of things you can do with herbs....making teas, tinctures, etc. Pretty nifty. That is where I got the idea to try making my own herbal tincture.
Be very cautious with wormwood, it can be very toxic used in excess. It’s also the bitterest substance I have ever tasted.
