I suspect they stopped using road salt under the prior governor. So...this is the result.

The roads couldn't be pre-treated with brine (SOP) because of the rain that came thru the area the previous day.

Also, a lot of out-of-state visitors were heading home after the New Year's weekend.

Even here in southern NH I could not find rock salt the day after Christmas.
Both Lowes & HD did not have any. The local ACE hardware store did.
