Schumer shows the left’s desperation to build fraud into elections

Although the Democrats put most of their political capital in the Build More Communist Bill (known as the “Build Back Better Bill”), the bill that’s more important to them is actually the “For The People” Act, which has already passed in the House. If the Senate passes it, it will build into elections every type of pro-fraud procedure possible. To that end, Sen. Chuckie Schumer wrote to tell Republicans, who will be destroyed if the act passes, that they’d better pass the act or else he’ll destroy the filibuster and pass the act without them.

You may recall that, in January 2021, Sen. Mitch McConnell entered into an agreement with Schumer that raised the possibility of doing away with the filibuster. Currently, the filibuster is a rule that, when brought into play, does away with a simple majority vote in the Senate and, instead, requires a supermajority to pass a bill.

The filibuster has existed since 1806. With Democrat control over both Congress and the White House, following an election so bizarre and tainted that huge numbers of Americans believe Biden got “help” getting into the White House, the filibuster is all that stands between packing the Supreme Court, federalizing election fraud, adding D.C. and Puerto Rico as states, and Building More Communist.

The 50-50 split in the Senate, with Kamala Harris as the tie-breaker, means that Schumer is the majority leader. He offered McConnell an equal power-sharing agreement if the Senate ditched the filibuster. McConnell agreed because Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema promised they wouldn’t vote to end the filibuster.

This bill is unconstitutional - the D’s know it, the R’s know it - everyone knows it. It will be byotch slapped down by the USSC when it is brought before them but that will take months. But that is not the play being made by the Ds.

The Ds want the bill to become law before the 2022 mid-terms. The provisions in the bill (no voter ID, anyone can vote, unverified mail-in voting, etc) is probably their only hope of victory. After the mids, especially if the Ds retain power, having the law slapped down is of no concern. It will have done what it is intended to do - insure a D political victory.

.......well, Republicans, on one of their GOOD days, are smart enough to FIND themselves a good judge who would issue a temporary injunction (good for 10 days in Texas) which could then be turned into a permanent injunction pending a trial on the merits which would likely put ANY decision on it way past November 22!

After that, Republicans COULD fix it if they wanted to or put a better way........”depending on how many RINO’s we get rid of come this November”.

And it’s unlikely any of this would be happening if 32 Republicans didn’t vote for the Infrastructure bill.

McConnell isn’t squishy. He’s an integral and willing part of the process.

He’ll keep on making his money and that’s all that matters.

Wow! You are naive.

We lost Obamacare at the Supreme Court. You still have faith in that.

We lost repeal of Obamacare in the Senate when we had control of both Houses of Congress and the White House.

Yeah, if the GOP wins in 2022, they will get Biden to sign the repeal.

What Disneyland ride is taking place inside your head?

The most important Constitutional point is that, just because all 50 State Legislatures have chosen for the moment to utilize idiots voting as their method of APPOINTING their Electors for President and Vice President, that does not turn the reserved legislative appointment power into a Federal matter.

Congress has authority to make rules regarding the election of Representatives and Senators, right in Article I section 4.

Congress has NO AUTHORITY over the appointment of Electors by the State Legislatures. NONE. ZERO. ZIP. ZILCH. NADA.

Every intrusion - spending limits, "debate commissions", etc, etc is plainly and facially unconstitutional.

There is no such thing as a "presidential election" in the Constitution.

Schumer is in way over his head. He has always been inept, but he stayed on long enough to rise up thru the ranks based on seniority, not competence.

Every time I hear one of the Republican pundits tell about how they will retake the House and Senate I believe Chuckles laughs and shuffles the bills he will get passed at the last minute that will allow the Democrats to win a veto proof House and Senate in 2022.

Retirement is hardly “ever fine” for career politicians in the US Senate. We’ve had quite a few of them die with their boots on at a very old age.

Getting elected again isn't important to most Representatives and Senators.

Joke post of the year so far.
Even you don't believe that surely? You are not that naive or clueless.

What happened to them bills he was going to pass around in Virginia then, while the Dems were getting clobbered?

“Wonder how Schumer plans to pull this off?”

He’ll do the usual: get a Republican or two to stab us in the back.

This is a bridge too far for the Democrats. They pull this, and it is equivilent to Hitler's Enabling Act.

We should, to a man, respond accordingly.

The filibuster is purely a parliamentary procedure voluntary adopted by Congress and has no basis in the law, so the courts won’t touch this.

With all due respect, I’m not commenting on “the RULE” in the Senate. What’s UNCONSTITUTIONAL is the handling of ELECTIONS is left to the STATES ergo it (passing such a blatantly unconstitutional LAW (not rule) WILL GET LITIGATED and that litigation will, most likely, START with an injunction that tolls the EFFECTIVE DATE of such a “LAW” until a trial is held and even then they could toll it until the Supreme Court Rules on it which could take years. In 10 months we will have an all Pub congress, most likely, and then the LAW will get MOOTED faster than the road runner.

..........Sir, you will do a lot better on FR if you stop with the insults.

That said, I did not and do not “guarantee” a court ruling. I do believe it is guaranteed that SOMEBODY will seek an injunction and probably get it ON THE LAW passed by the Senate AFTER they do away with the Filibuster if they do away with the FILIBUSTER.

Thus, it is fairly easy to conclude that Schumer is just playing games in several different ways too complicated to comment on in this post.

We’ve got to hang on for one more year. That’s how much time the Democrats have left to destroy constitutional safeguards and require mass election fraud like they are trying to do.

I believe he is holding on to them and will get them passed when there is not enough time to challenge their constitutionality in court.
