Some great music. I guess now I’m going to have to get one of my CDs out and put the headphones on.
I knew Rick and his wife Sue, went over to thier house pretty regularly until they moved back to New York, gotta be 20 years now. He gave me a cd of his new album right before he moved, sat front row at Universal Amphitheater, backstage passes, big party afterwards... Had a lot of fun when they still lived here in SoCal.
The ,ast part of the song sounded a lot like an alice Cooper song I heard, bery similar beat and notes
I saw them live in Seattle at the Egyptian theater back in the mid 70s. At the time they were one of my favorite bands. I have all their albums as well as a couple of documentaries and concerts on dvd. Sadly it’s pretty low quality DVDs but the performers are always top notch.
Their musical repertoire was quite diverse. In a way I compare them to Pink Floyd and genesis.
Supertramp Breakfast In America Tour 1979
March 16, 1979 University Of Colorado Balch Fieldhouse, Boulder, CO
I was there! It was great! :)
I have the vinyl copy of this album. Great musicians
I was in France 1981, and some guy asked me if I liked “Suphair Trah”. I said, huh? It took about five times for him to slowing enunciate, “soo-pair-trah-m-pe”
I saw them at Alpine Valley in Wisconsin back in the day.
Great group.

For a short period in the early summer of 1979, Supertramp was quite possibly the greatest band in the world, riding high on the near perfect "Breakfast In America" album.
I wish I had been old enough to see Supertramp live.
IMO, the live version of “Dreamer” blows the studio version out of the water.
Thanks for posting.
