Ridgecrest! OMG
When I am hiking the PCT (Pacific Crest Trail) I am up 9 Mile Canyon Road (3 miles north of Pearsonville on the 395) where it’s actually a total of 26 miles to Kennedy Meadows from the 395.
We hikers would load up in a vehicle and do a resupply run into Ridgecrest. Vons, Del Taco, and a laundromat were the usual stops.
Those names bring back memories. Personnel and the dirt race track. And Lucy with her cute little cap. And all those hubcaps. I’m going to outdoor movies and camping in Kennedy Meadows.
