Our family doctor does an EKG if he hears anything unusual with his stethoscope.

Hubby has had several.

I would think if an older person goes in for a full physical all kinds of tests would be ordered.

That’s how hubby found out about his non-functioning diaphragm.

I guess it depends on who you see for your health care.

My parents had quite a time as their health care providers sold out several times, some good some very bad.

Another worthwhile test is the echocrdiogram (ultrasound of the heart). It identifies a whole host of problems with the heart from size and strength of the heart muscle, to blockages to electrical malfunctions.

It's usually performed in the doctor's office, albeit a cardiologist's.

Sounds like there are plenty of heart tests. And it’s great that your Doctor does those. I guess We will have to request them
