Thousands of anti-vaccine mandate protesters descend on DC and ignore city’s outdoor mask rules to play songs by anti-mandate singer Meat Loaf and listen to speech from Robert F. Kennedy
A crowd of up to 20,000 gathered in Washington DC Saturday to protest ongoing vaccine mandates, including those in the Capitol
Many went maskless, in defiance of rules imposed in the Capitol to combat the spread of the Omicron variant
Meat Loaf’s songs, including I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That), were also heard blaring out at the event - the singer, who was vocally opposed to vaccine mandates and masks - reportedly died of COVID
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an outspoken figurehead of the anti-vaccination movement, was a keynote speaker
‘Americans want democracy back, and this rally is a demand to get their democracy back,’ Kennedy said
