Absolutely.

Served with Patton.

Wouldn't say a thing to us about what he'd seen or done, though.

He just didn't have any use at all for anything German except his Mercedes.

My father served in the Pacific during WW2. He never bought a Japanese car though he didn’t say anything when his children did. He only had American built cars even as he watched Japanese and German cars outperform them. Eventually American cars improved.
