Thank you for the good information and stories about homemade food for dogs and cats. I have always fed table scraps to my pets in addition to their dry food, and the vet scolds me. But it has never caused them any health issues.

We get a cow butchered every couple of years and we always ask for the bones as well. The dogs are crazy over the raw bones and I make bone broth which I give the dogs (and my family, but it doesn’t sit well with me)

I’ll post my cat food recipe for you. Cats have more nutritional needs, higher Protein Plus more supplements. But I’ve been feeding my girl this recipe for probably the last decade. She had grain allergies. And then she decided to develop struvite crystals. It’s the only thing the doctors know how to do for it is feed them a particular dry food. That was full of greens. So I had to come up with a recipe for her. The doctor said her blood work is amazing for her age oh, so I guess she’s not missing anything nutrition-wise.
