The majority of generic drugs is made in India. The purity is an extremely complicated concept; products may not be 100% pure and still safe if the nature of impurities is determined. At the same time, minute amounts of impurity of unknown structure and potentially dangerous nature can deem the product unsafe. If the maker of Indian medicine is well known and was in business for a long time, I would take a chance...

once a given medication is received and the lab that manufactured it is known, do you know of any resource that could offer insight into known issue(s) with the manufacturer in general, e.g. which ones to avoid, which ones seem sort-of ok, etc?
