Similar experience: I got a call from a friend who had accompanied another friend to Costa Rica to help him through shoulder replacement surgery. They had been there a couple of months (and now hope to stay forever) when one came down with Covid soon after the New Year celebration. The other one called me because of my "expertise" in COVID treatment. I recommended the usual: ivermectin, C, D, zinc.
Within 12 hours the fever broke and the next morning he was as good as new. He even got some very vivid dreams out of it. "It's not just a COVID cure, it's a psychedelic."
Meanwhile, a fully vaccinated and boostered couple in San Diego who are very good friends of mine came down with something right after Christmas. They are still recovering from it. Of course they thank God they were vaccinated, because it could have been much worse!
