I've read that DARPA and its equivalents around the world have developed many inhumane 'crowd control' weapons which allow them to be at a distance and train beams of focused microwaves (or other) on people and cook them. Variations on that type of weapon include those which cause agonizing pain, psychological 'distress/mania' or burn them. I imagine that would disperse a crowd of protesters fairly quick.
Hardly 'inhumane' if the alternative is shooting them.

I’m doing a road trip across I-40 beginning Wed. From Mt Airy NC(Andy Griffith) to Shawnee Oklahoma. Anyone in the line of travel, would love to hook up for short visit meet for a meal chat. Not sure if it will be two or three days. I take back roads n love to lollygag and take in the local flavor of communities along the way. For me road trips aren’t all about the destination but about the experience on the way there.
