Well, la-dee-dah ...

I can tell you are impressed.:)
Kidding aside, I am starting to pay enough attention that there are actually some not-yet-released films I’m eager to see. It’s fun to get a sneak preview. Especially since some of these films may not get to streaming or a theatrical release for a year or more.
There are 82 feature films at this year’s Sundance. Most don’t interest me. There are perhaps half a dozen that I think, as of now, I am likely to watch eventually. After Yang was the only one I was keenly following, and I signed up for the Day Pass to get that. Filling out the rest of the card was not difficult, but the remaining three were all films for which I’d be content to wait.
That said, Sundance is weighted towards indie films and new and emerging filmmakers. It usually is a launchpad for a couple or three unknown films that come out of nowhere to make a big splash. I think the festivals are going to be more important than ever as the streamers continue to swallow the film industry. Where else are independent filmmakers going to find a platform and an opportunity to break out when Netflix, Amazon, Disney and Warner/HBO control distribution — and increasingly, production?
