Well anyway, Kirk in TOS, is harboring a virus, that can kill a population of a planet that is over populated and cannot die.

Well Kirk bops the leaders daughter and she becomes sick, but Spock and McCoy save the day, when the daughter is cured.

And it was produced over 50 years ago.
