Sounds like the wind has finally backed off. Lots of fire crews getting out and putting water on stuff that could catch. Not too much hope for structures involved earlier this afternoon..News crew talked about a group of homes (3 or 4 I think) that the fire moved on and totally destroyed in minutes. Nothing left now but burned-out concrete pads and basements.

Oh, yeah. When I said our old home and our kids were NW I was screwed up....meant to say North EAST.

Thanks for the prayers, guys. Those folks need 'em.

Tough bunch of SOB's around there, though. Just saw a couple "civilians" out with shovels throwing dirt on the burning bits I guess were parts of their/their neighbors' house.

Eight hour drive or I'd be there throwing dirt too, I guess.
