Cuban dissident José Daniel Ferrer recounts horrors of imprisonment in a 3-minute phone conversation
Excerpt:
From our Bureau of Socialist Compassion and Social Justice
He’s been held in a tiny windowless cell, beaten, blasted with Havana-Syndrome microwave weapons, fed rotten food, denied medical care, denied the right to read or write, and forbidden any communication with his family or the outside world. In other words, as he himself put it, he’s living in a dungeon hell similar to that of the fictional Count of Monte Cristo at the infamous Château d’If prison
Now, surely due to pressure from international human rights agencies, the magnanimous mobsters of Castro, Inc. have granted him a three-minute monitored phone call.
Awww. Isn’t that nice? Socialist compassion and love of neighbor in action!
Abridged and loosely translated from Periodico Cubano
José Daniel Ferrer, leader of the Patriotic Union of Cuba (Unpacu) sent a message from the Mar Verde prison in Santiago de Cuba, where he has been held since July.
In a three-minute telephone conversation with his relatives, the opponent commented that his state of health remains the same as what he had reported on other occasions: “… the headaches, the whistling noise in my head continues.”
Likewise, Ferrer commented that he is still in the same cell, without the right to anything, even to read the official press. The occasion was used by the dissident imprisoned by the regime to thank all those who have echoed his case, and who have raised their voices in his favor.
“… Gratitude both to the European Parliament, to thank also Senator Rick Scott and all our friends in Europe, in the United States and elsewhere. To Cubans, foreigners and friends of the cause ”.
“2021 is already over, it has been a year marked above all by the COVID-19 pandemic and of course, another year of poverty, misery and sadness, suffering and pain for the Cuban people who suffer the scourge of a terrible pandemic, which began in 1959. One more year of lack of rights, of oppression, one more year of flagrant violation of Human Rights”.
“Cuba is a nation living in the eighteenth century” observed the leader of Unpacu, Cuba. All because of the backwardness imposed on its people by the Castro-communist dictatorship.
The last words that could be heard of the call of a little more than 3 minutes, was that the dissident does not have any means of information, not even a pencil to write. “My imprisonment is a situation in the Count of Montecristo style”
********
Sounds similar to what is being being imposed on the Jan. 6th American patriots imprisoned in DC. Fascist don’t change anywhere in the world IMO.
