I’ll pass on CA weather. On the Santa Ana winds, earthquakes, mud slides, fires, etc.

Nothing beats New England weather. Just when you get sick of it, it changes (doesn’t apply in Maine LOL).

Just my opinion. With that said I would love to experience the desert after a rain.

I’ve experienced the Glamis I Erika sand dunes after rain several times. Be careful, your sand rig will have super traction, not at all like ripping in the dry sand 🤣

I do miss autumn. Here, the seasons are hot, beastly hot, @#@#$!! hot + LA smog inversion, and then pleasant.

The first time I smelled the desert after a rain, I thought someone was burning incense. It has a brightness to it, almost medicinal, like horse liniment.
