If your ICE Mercedes Benz threw a rod and you had to buy a new engine the cost is $24K, labor is extra. So what is the big deal? An 8 year old car needing an engine overhaul or new engine is not unheard of. Most people junk them for a newer model such as the Finnish guy did.

Ford fuel injectors from that era (1988 or so) are known to eventually start leaking where the connector plugs in. It’s a very slight leak, but enough you’ll smell gas under the hood and it will show up with a UV light with UV dye added to the gas.

Happened on my 1988 Mustang GT right about when it was 15 years old.

“Now imagine if Teslas were made by Apple?”

Still would not want one built by and for liberals.

Could not operate it regardless, wrong sexual orientation.

The Chevy Volt (plug-in hybrid) has a battery heater for it’s lithium-ion batteries. I would think a Tesla would have a battery heater too...

Nissan Leaf used price was $6000 not long ago. Doubled of late, given high demand.

Old models of rapidly evolving technology are understandably expensive to repair.

$22,500.00? I could build a really seriously built Chevrolet big block for that amount of money.

Take off the doors and put in a 3 horse Briggs and Stratton engine from an old lawn mower. Now you are talking!

‘wonder if a person could buy the 5,000 to 10,000 little 4 volt batteries that make up the Tesla’s battery pack and rebuild it by hand. Could be a zen like endeavor (or just monotonous).

Back during Obomba’s idiotic Kash for Klunkers fiasco, huge numbers of perfectly usable cars were destroyed in a similar manner, but without the beer.

There many YouBoob videos of this process.
