I fear this is not over yet. If I’ve learned anything about the left is they don’t give up until they get what they want, destroy whoever kept them from getting what they want...or both.

You’re right. But here is what I think is going on: they don’t have 49 votes without Manchin, and he’s basically taking the heat. If the d’s were that close, they would simply buy off persuade an assistant d to “reach across the aisle.” That doesn’t work if they’re off by more than a couple of votes. Time will tell.

You are not wrong. They will negotiate with Manchin and pass it after the start of the new year. NEVER trust a politician, particularly a Democrat.
