Try to imagine Biden being programmed to say: “Its far better to become infected with the omicron variant than to receive the vaccine.” Sorry it will never happen. If this highly contagious variant does end up conferring true herd immunity to the more virulent strains of COVID which will then die out for a lack of hosts, it will happen regardless of the political narrative, the dictates of the commissars or for that matter whatever any of us do. While this variant does not seem to result in as much severe disease as the previous strains in this COVID pandemic, those that incur it often get very ill but thankfully seem to have symptoms that involve mostly the upper respiratory tract. They do not seem to develop the hypoxemia and pneumonitis seen in the prior strains. Also it does seem to affect children and young people much more commonly than the prior strains.
