Investigative Reporter John Solomon Says Durham Will Go After FBI Next
December 20, 2021

Investigative reporter John Solomon has a theory about who special counsel John Durham will go after next — the FBI.

During an interview on Fox News, Solomon and host Maria Bartiromo spoke about Durham’s investigation and what might be next.

Russian-born analyst Igor Danchenko — key source for the Steele dossier that alleged ties between the Donald Trump campaign and Russia — was arrested by federal agents last week as part of the Durham investigation.

Solomon explained that he believes Durham is dealing with “two buckets.”

In one “bucket,” there are the last two indictments against officials who were connected to Hillary Clinton and their plan to feed the FBI false information about Trump-Russia conspiracies.

Solomon said the other “bucket” focuses on the FBI and whether agents knowingly mislead the FISA court to obtain warrants to spy on members of Trump’s 2016 campaign.

Solomon also disputes former FBI counterintelligence chief Peter Strzok’s statement on MSNBC last week that the FBI never investigated the Trump campaign in 2016, as Durham’s investigation into the origins of the Mueller probe makes another indictment.

PETER STRZOK: Whether intentionally or not, when you look at the balance of those pages, they have subtle dog whistles to these pro-Trump conspiracy theories, statements like “the FBI’s investigation of the Trump campaign relied on certain things.”

Well, there was never an FBI investigation of the Trump campaign. Unless you listen to some kind of far-extreme-right commentators or of folks in Congress who assert there was, but that’s nonsense.

MARIA BARTIROMO: Of course, John, there was no pushback from Rachel Maddow. To say there was no investigation of the Trump campaign. Your reaction? Mind-boggling.

JOHN SOLOMON: Listen, Pete Strzok’s opening electronic communication which starts the Crossfire Hurricane investigation states they are looking at whether individuals associated with the Trump campaign were coordinating conspiring with Russia. When they put the first FISA in, in October, the Trump campaign is mentioned a dozen times in the first FISA, and as I mentioned in the last segment, the allegation is a well-developed conspiracy between individuals associated with the Trump campaign and Russia to hijack the election.

Of course, it was about the campaign. Peter Strzok’s own words said it was about the campaign. He was lying the other night. There’s no other way to say it politely.

BARTIROMO: Of course, they continue to renew FISA warrants against the Trump campaign and they based those warrants to wiretap people like Carter Page, based on that dossier which they knew was false and made up. So I ask you now, what do you think the indictments will look like in the future?

Do you think that John Durham is going to indict people at high levels, big fish, within the FBI?

JOHN SOLOMON: There’s no doubt there is activity inside the grand jury right now aimed at looking at top-level officials of the FBI, and it’s based on this evidence. We all look at the fact that Denchenko was interviewed by the FBI on January 17, and disowned a lot of the things that were said to him.

A lot of people said that should have been the point where the FBI stopped.

But Durham developed really significant evidence that red flags, the stop-now warning signs go all the way back to August when Bruce Orr, in 2016 came to the FBI and said Christopher Steele is dumping a dossier. He hates Trump. He’s hired by Hillary Clinton and most of his information is raw and uncorroborated.

A month after the CIA sends a warning to the FBI, this is something John Ratcliffe declassified, saying Hillary Clinton is trying to play a dirty trick on Donald Trump to tie him to Russia to get out of her e-mail thing. All through the fall, they keep a spreadsheet of what’s right and wrong of the Steele dossier. It’s all wrong. Can’t corroborate, they can’t collaborate the information. The FBI never should have started the investigation and I think that’s where John Durham’s investigation is focused right now.

Supreme Court Asks Biden Administration to Respond to Flurry of Challenges to OSHA Mandate
December 20, 2021

President Joe Biden’s administration was directed on Monday to reply to a flurry of fresh challenges to its private employer COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, a Trump nominee, told administration officials to file responses to applications from faith groups, companies, and attorneys general from over half the states in the country by 4 p.m. on Dec. 30.

That’s just days before the mandate’s deadline.

“This case is finally where it belongs: the Supreme Court. OSHA has threatened to start punishing employers like our clients starting on January 10, and we’re grateful the court has ordered a briefing schedule that will allow for resolution of our petition before that deadline,” Daniel Suhr, managing attorney at the Liberty Justice Center, told The Epoch Times in an email.

“We’re very pleased with Justice Kavanaugh’s quick response and are confident that the court will act quickly to ensure legal predictability before the deadline,” John Bursch, a lawyer for Alliance Defending Freedom, added.

Kavanaugh is dealing with the matter because the appeals court that issued the ruling that prompted the challenges is under his jurisdiction.

The mandate in question was promulgated by the Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). If allowed to take effect next month, it will force every business with 100 or more employees to get proof of a negative COVID-19 test on at least a weekly basis or proof of vaccination from each worker. Companies that don’t comply would face escalating fines.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in November entered a preliminary injunction against the mandate, questioning its constitutionality. But the case was redirected by lottery to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, which on Friday dissolved the stay.

OSHA said it was “gratified” by the ruling and would begin imposing the mandate on Jan. 10, 2022. The official deadline, though, is Jan. 4.

The rule could be paused anew by the Supreme Court, which quickly received appeals from the Word of God Fellowship, The Heritage Foundation, Ohio’s attorney general, BST Holdings, and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Absent a new stay, parties would be irreparably harmed, they argued in the filings.

Institutions fear losing workers who don’t want to get a vaccine and also don’t want to get tested regularly, possibly at their own cost.

“South Dakota and Florida public schools are not subject to the mandate and could attract teachers away from religious private schools,” lawyers for Alliance Defending Freedom wrote in one of the documents.

Challengers say the administration is violating the state authority outlined in the U.S. Constitution and going beyond the powers Congress gave OSHA to regulate businesses.

OSHA says the mandate “will protect the health of workers by mitigating the spread of the unprecedented virus in the workplace.”

The agency was referring to the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, which causes COVID-19.

How to resolve all this outrageous cognitive dissonance?

"the allegation is a well-developed conspiracy between individuals associated with the Trump campaign and Russia to hijack the election" (Which everyone knows was total hooey. The FBI knew it was hooey; why would they have needed to spend investigative agent time on it?)

So Strzok says that "the FBI never investigated the Trump campaign in 2016" and Bartiromo and Solomon are mind-boggled? (Strzok knows what an investigation looks like, and he recollects he, Andy, Rod and Lisa would just chew the fat in meetings to conjure PR things that could be used against Trump. They'd plot their next PR moves. Then Strzok would report to Barry. The two of them think they're clever like that.)

How about this being Strzok self-aggrandizing rationalization? What was thought by everyone else to be an investigation was in Strzok's mind simply a PR campaign against Trump. It was given the name, "Cross-fire Hurricane." They weren't seriously investigating Hillary, either. No oaths, no transcripts. Comey dithered to play an essentially non-existent HRC investigation off against a non-existent Trump investigation. No investigators spent any serious investigative research hours. Even Admiral Rogers was fooled by what he (correctly) heard. They were lies, too, though the FBI probably knew CIA/NSA types were recording everything Trump since 2011. All background. That wouldn't count in Strzok's book.

Now, the FBI team is totally on the non-existent hook for false representations to the FISA court, but look how they've not been held accountable on that for 4-5 years! They knew what they could get away with that! Clinesmith is fully reinstated.

The whole hurricane scenario was illegally referred to Special Counsel Mueller by Rosenstein without the existence of any probable cause. How could there be? See how all those Fibbies have had to pay for the false FISA warrants? Barry had it covered, just like Jussie. The whole case was brought as Potemkin Village before Mueller's team began investigating thin air so Dems could spend $45M on their favorite lawyers, travel, dinners and keep the media lathered so as to stoke even more grassroots hatred of Trump.
