Ivy League women’s swimming. Their 10 fans must be really upset.
FWIW, Penn competes in NCAA swimming tournaments on a national basis, not just against Ivy League schools. But even if this were the most low-stakes women’s athletic competition in the country, it still would be an absurd travesty to have a dude competing in it.
Maybe so, but that has nothing to do with the actual females that are competing. Being able to compete at the collegiate level, in any sport, takes some legit work. Football at Harvard and Yale may not be the same as it is at Alabama and Michigan, but those guys are competing.
And for swimmers, that’s years of getting up at O Dark Thirty 5-6 days a week to get in a pool. Parents spending all sorts of time and money on them, in the hopes that their son or daughter can go to school for FREE.
