Similar to the question ….. Why didn’t Trump clamp down on the obnoxious press shouting questions at him and colluding with each other to ask more than their share of questions/attacks on the same topic, etc. I believe that Trump loves interacting with the press. He is probably smarter than any of them and more knowledgeable about all the current topics. Unfortunately it was a very bad look to anyone not a fan of such verbal combat.

Trump’s huge ego got him to the Presidency but it also made him able to refuse to see how harmful such behaviors were to him in that office.

The propaganda media broadcast only snippets that made Trump look bad. Their viewers never knew how much Trump was in command of the room but they saw over and over how “unpresidential” he could look and, dishonestly, how he told people to drink bleach to help get over Covid. They are still lying about that.
