I try to explain the basic principle of foreign policy to people:
When a country has beautiful women, as Russia does, you make it an ally not an adversary.

Anybody who thinks Ukraine is in “our sphere of give a shit,” should seek psychiatric help immediately, they might be a lunatic.
I had an ex girlfriend who flew back to Kiev in 2000, she had to bribe a custom official so she could catch her plane on the way out. Ukraine is corrupt and Americans don’t need to die there, ever.
Western Ukraine wants Euros, Eastern Ukraine wants Rubles, & Ukraine as a whole wants Dollars. Our State Department obliges with $ and kick backs aplenty.
The United States doesn’t owe Ukraine a security guarantee, that would be foolish and reckless.
If people want to die for Ukraine, then form your “Adam Vindman Brigades” and “Go for it.”
I’m sure the volunteers will be endless.(sarcasm)
