There’s other places that just do good works without the scolding. They’ll benefit from the SA committing suicide. The SA STEPPED into poop willingly. They can deal with the fallout. Nobody, and I mean nobody needs to be lectured by any so-called charity that is only alive because of donations from every day people.

People don’t support things they don’t agree with. It’s not a “Christian” thing or a “religious “ thing. It’s a personal thing. Just because an organization has done good in the past, does NOT negate keeping an eye on their future endeavors. That’s tunnel vision.
If the humane society suddenly decided to start killing puppies, but you adopted a great puppy from them years ago, would you still give them money and support?

This pamphlet was disseminated by the International Social Justice Commission, a Salvation Army subsidiary. The fact that the Salvation Army feels the need to have such a leftist division within its organization tells me everything I need to know. They will never get another penny from me.

What I do like about freerepublic.com is that the articles posted are out on the net. So even by visiting the FR site i can see an excerpt or if hg is lucky the whole article. and when you click outto the other site, you actually get to read the article, if you can get past the spam.

I bought the first car I bought at a salvation army auction.
The people high up in the SA are not Christians by a long shot. They’ve infiltrated the organization, most likely to take it down. I agree there’s lots of “puritans” that are off base, but in the case of the SA, there’s something else happening there.
Will check out the situation when I go to Rockefeller Center.
If they’re getting fewer donations than usual, they should have one separate kettle that says THESE DONATIONS WILL GO STRAIGHT TO THE POOR. Or maybe ANYONE WITH WOKE OPINIONS WILL SOON BE FIRED CAMPAIGN.
I’m in Denver and have only seen one bell ringer. I just walked past like he wasn’t there. No comments, just plain ignored him.
Activity this year is comparable to prior years, in large part, I'm sure, because all contributions received in the Christmas kettles stay in the community and do not inure to the benefit of the national organization.
