As for me, I am willing to risk a .0043% chance of dying from the vaccine than to risk a .238% chance of dying from COVID."
By voluntarily taking the injection, you've 100% put yourself in a position of potential side effects (or death) from the administered vaccine.
Regarding covid:
you might get covid, in which case you would be 100% in a position of potentially having a side affect (or death) from covid
...OR...
you might NOT get covid, in which case you would be 0% in a position of potentially having a side affect (or death) from covid.
Nobody is guaranteed to get covid. If you don't get covid, your chance of dying from covid are 0%, therefore...everybody's chance of dying from covid is not .238%. For many, it's 0%.
Additionally, your not taking into account those who are "fully vaccinated" and still get infected with covid. In those cases, you're 100% in a position of potential injection side effects or death, as well as 100% potential for covid side effects or death.

Your logic is flawed. Saying you have a 100% chance of suffering potential side effects from the vaccine is meaningless unless you address the likelihood. You seem to be taking the position of “so long as I remain unvaccinated, my risk of side effects or death from the vaccine is zero.” You’re right about that, but then you simply wish away the possibility of contracting COVID, which you have little control over, unless you live like hermit up in the mountains and have zero human contact. Assuming you’re not, then you are at risk of catching it. If you do, your general risk of death is still small at 1.6% and much, much less if you are under 60 and have no comorbidities like being overweight or a smoker. So stay unvaccinated as your choice, but don’t assume it’s safer than getting vaccinated. Either way you’re taking a risk, but the risk of death from the vaccine seems to be much lower than the risk of catching and dying from COVID, statistically.
