AZT, a failed chemo drug, that was usually given to patients in short bursts, because it stopped all cell reproduction in the body. During the trial, too many AIDS sufferers were dying, so to keep his study going long enough to get EUA approval, he and his cohorts began massive blood transfusions. Not to save lives, but to keep patients alive long enough to get approval. After all, there were big BUCKS involved. Then of course, AIDS patients figured out that AZT was a death sentence. They started searching for alternative drugs to keep them alive. Good old Dr Mengele...errr Fauci made that illegal, sicced the DEA on anyone trafficking “unapproved treatments”, and as many as 100,000 were killed by this short little Mad Man.
