Yup, tried to post the picture, had to use the movie one. He was our eigth, Hachi is 8 in Japanese, the symbol means infinity. Great Movie about a dog who loses it's owner after 1 year. He used to wait for him at the train station. He continued to do that for 10 years after his owner passed. There is a statue of the dog in that town. He died there waiting for his master. Many people still go to see it as a lesson for children about faithfulness. The movie is "Hachidko".

I’ve heard that story before, so sad. The Loyalty of dogs is so heartwarming. My little Yorkie won’t leave without me, if my husband tries to take him somewhere Cooper will turn around and look at me, like asking for permission or if I will go. If I start to walk then he will go. If I don’t he always runs back to me. Although I have a new friend who just loves Cooper. And he’s starting to really like her, that has me a little nervous. I don’t want to lose my dog’s heart!
I saw a video about a dog that did that. People offered him a home but he wouldn’t stay. The people finally put a little dog house in his spot and fed him there. I’ll have to look for that movie when I feel like a good cry.
I know you miss your sweet dog. How old was he?
Hachiko...
Have a Kleenex box by your side when you watch the movie. Just as sad as Old Yeller and Where the Red Fern Grows.
A whole lot of blubbering going on over here, thanks.
