I think my mom’s brothers helped their dad, not sure how old they were at the time.

I never knew any of my mother’s maternal family, think they were all back east as her mom was born in Pinckneyville, Il.

I never heard how she got to to UT or how she met my grandfather.

I just know she died too young, 26, of the flu during the the Great Influenza Pandemic of 1918.

Oh, how sad for your mom and you. I’ve seen sections of graveyards where whole families were buried in 1918.
