For a brief period, I too was fooled... simply because it was easier for me to believe our military would step in to stop such a blatant foreign takeover of our election, than it was for me to believe 97% of our elected officials would stab America in the back.

That was exactly the point - to offer the soothing alternative that “the professionals are in charge” - which goes on to this day in the belief that Trump is somehow still the real President and waiting to step in and arrest Biden and Harris when the time is right. We all stayed quiet and waited when we should have been working on removing local Communists.

To conservatives who believe in the concept of America, that first hard shock of realizing that even if George Washington really did tell the truth about chopping down the cherry tree, his spiritual descendants are nowhere to be found in DC is very hard to take. After that, one just has to start counting how many 80%-ers are left (Paul, Cruz, Johnson) and try to figure out when and where to most effectively push back against the looters. It will be a long fight starting at the local level. But we have to do it ourselves.

Do you realize how far back in time we would have to go?

Do you remember Mcarthyism?

He is now vindicated and yet turning over in his grave.

The enemy took advantage of the very institution that was intended to protect us from corruption.... the media.

The cold war never ended. We just stopped fighting it.
